The essential tools for viral real estate marketers on the internet are a blog, an autoresponder, a mini website and a web audio tool. Let’s start with a blog:
A Blog
What is a blog? A blog can be many things. For the purpose of real estate marketing on the internet, you can use it to post your listings. Or to communicate with your prospective buyers or sellers. And to establish a relationship with them.
Well, what makes a blog different from a web site, or emailing? The main difference is that search engines LOVE blogs. Therefore, a blog makes attracting traffic to your site a lot easier than running a web site.
One thing is important though: You have to maintain a blog. That means you need to update your blog with fresh, original content at least once per week. And I will show you how to leverage blogging tools further.
If you really want to get a jump start on blogging, check out “Blogging To The Bank 2.0“. This is an amazing resource and extremely affordable. It definitely cuts your learning curve and has tons of great information.
And by the way: Don’t get discourraged if you’re thinking you can’t write or maintain a web site. These are tasks that you can outsource for just a few bucks a month, and devote your time to something more important (like closing deals, or going to the beach…). - More about how and where to best get a blog will come in another post…
