Essential Viral Marketing Tools Part 3: Mini Web Sites

So, blogs are great with search engines. And your blog is also great for providing good and ongoing content to your prospects and customers. However, if you want to peak the interest and focus the attention of your specific prospect, here is another essential tool:

 Mini Web Sites

Sometimes called “squeeze pages” or “shy-yes pages”, these web sites focus your prospect’s attention on one single call to action: “Enter your name and email into the box and click submit!” (Of course more elegantly put, but this is the essence.)

Now, this is the most important lesson to learn from internet marketing experts, and most real estate marketers who try the internet don’t know this and fail. Your visitors have a very short attention span for your site. Most of the time only a few seconds before they leave.

That’s why internet marketers capture their visitors’ attention and once they have it they focus it on this single call to action. After your visitor has opted in (yes, you have another opt-in box on your mini web site), you can then send her email messages to tell her more and continue your marketing relationship.

This method is proven to be much more effective than putting a bunch of links and menus on your web site and let the visitor browse around on your site and get all the information right there. This one-shot marketing approach is much weaker than the follow-up system that you can use once you have the opt-in.
