Real Estate Marketing 2.0…
”Web 2.0″ is the catch-all term for web sites and tools that focus on interactivity with visitors, and communication with and between visitors to a web site.
There are the “Big 2″, MySpace.com and FaceBook.com, but there are also many smaller more specialized social networks that attract personal and professional visitors around a specfic subject.
And that’s true for real estate as well. Real etstate professionals can network with each other, exchange information and attract customers using these social networks.
How cool would it be if you had a way to let all your “friends” across several social networking sites, blogs and virtual communities, know about a new wholesale deal you just picked up? Or a listing that meets certain criteria? Or a buyer who is looking for a specific kind of property in a certain area. Read the rest of this entry »

Social networking has totally changed the way we market. To put your name and real estate business out in the public eye, you no longer have to purchase expensive banner ads. Now you can bring customers to your site just by creating free profiles on sites like MySpace and Facebook.
Find me on MySpace and be my friend!
Social networks operate on the simple principle that you know people who know more people, and so on. Those friends-of-a-friend might be looking for some real estate, or know somebody who’s in the market for a new home. Word gets around, and so will your name. As a viral real estate marketer, you can use this to your advantage.

“Viral” is the cool new term for anything that spreads like… well, like a virus. Viral videos like ‘The Star Wars Kid’ and ‘Leave Britney Alone’ (too annoying to link here…) get passed around until they join the ranks of Internet phenomena. That’s because, thanks to the Net, the world has never been smaller. Nothing can stop the flow of information.
As a real estate marketer, you can take advantage of this trend by starting a viral ad campaign of your own.

So, blogs are great with search engines. And your blog is also great for providing good and ongoing content to your prospects and customers. However, if you want to peak the interest and focus the attention of your specific prospect, here is another essential tool:
Mini Web Sites
Sometimes called “squeeze pages” or “shy-yes pages”, these web sites focus your prospect’s attention on one single call to action: “Enter your name and email into the box and click submit!” (Of course more elegantly put, but this is the essence.)

OK, we covered the importance of having a blog, now let’s add the most important tool to help you building your list(s) of buyers, sellers, renters, investors…
An Autoresponder System
An autoresponder system is an essential follow-up marketing tool. With this tool you can send emails to your entire list of prospects or customers (buyers, sellers, investors…) at once, rather than sending one email at a time. Each email is personalized so the recipient feels that you are personally emailing him or her.

This blog is devoted to news, tips and tricks on interent marketing strategies for real estate. How to buy, sell, rent, or invest real estate using social networks and other powerful Web 2.0 strategies.
Real estate marketing becomes viral when both sides feel they got the better part of the deal. Giving value is the ultimate goal of any marketer who wants to overcome the “car salesman” image and break through to giving prospects what they want and need.
The first lesson to be learned for this stratgey comes from internet marketing maven Frank Kern in his Mass Controle Marketing. While Frank Kern’s product is sold out and closed to the public, we can still learn from the next best thing: Frank Kern himself talking about the essence of Mass Control Marketing.
Listen to this recorded telephone interview with Frank Kern right now, and apply it to your own real estate marketing startegies.
